Welcome!

Welcome to the Chalmer Davee Library's guide for Distance Learners!  We want you to know that you can access all of the materials in the UWRF library that are available to students on campus. This guide will tell you what is available to you, and how to get resources for your research projects.

Please contact the Research Help Desk with any questions (see box on left for contact information).

Library Basics

To find materials owned by the Chalmer Davee Library (CDL), search Search@UW. This will search material that is PHYSICALLY located in the library (books, government documents, audio/visual materials), as well as electronic materials (journal articles, e-books, etc). as well as searching for books & media at UW libraries state wide. Login in from anywhere with your W-number and password.

To obtain a book or article CDL doesn't have, request it via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). In most cases, there is no charge for borrowed items or for e-articles. ILL books can be picked up and returned at the Circulation Desk.

Consult the English Department Writing Center for help with the process of writing your paper.
