The River Falls Area Research Center (UWRF ARC) has a variety of resources to help you locate information on deceased individuals located in Burnett, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix Counties (our regional area). These records include vital records created by local county government, cemetery indexes, obituaries in local newspapers, published materials, and records of churches and burials. Some of these resources are searchable in Search@UW and AtoM, our archival search tools, as well as the UWRF Area Research Center records index.
In no way is this guide a complete listing of all the resources you can utilize to locate information on deceased individuals. This guide is a list of the resources available at or through the UWRF ARC that we commonly utilize when assisting researchers locate information relating to the death of an individual.
