Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

This guide explains how to get materials from other libraries.

UWRF Interlibrary Loan

UWRF Library Interlibrary Loan (ILL) locates and obtains materials for UWRF faculty, staff, and students, that the UWRF Chalmer Davee Library does not own. As of May 28th, 2024, Search@UW will present options for requesting content unavailable in Chalmer Davee Library collections of digitization of local print materials. These request methods are tied to a new, enhanced Search@UW with additional resources from participating libraries that agree to support the same delivery times and generous loan periods.

Please note you will need to sign in by clicking "Sign in" at the upper right to access the request options.

Requesting books, other physical materials, or book chapters

When requesting a physical book you can request the entire physical book or just a chapter. Only submit one chapter per request.

Once you click the Get it button for the book, chapter, or article, you will see some new request screens that should be filled in with most of the information the library needs for your request. You can also enter notes you want to share with library staff.

For digital requests, you must acknowledge the copyright statement to submit the request. Only one chapter can be submitted within a request. Multiple chapters in one request will not be accepted.

Requesting articles and other digital content

The Form for an article requires only your email address, which is automatically filled in, and to click the acknowledgement of copyright.

If you are on a journal record, you will need to fill out the form with all the article information.

You will receive an email notification when the digital PDF is ready for download. The file should download directly to the Downloads folder on your computer.

Status of Requests

In addition to the emails you get from the library about the status of your requests, you can now check your library account for the progress of your requests on the Requests tab.

If your digital request is ready, you can download the file directly from your library account.
