Book lists are a great way to learn more about books in a certain subjects or topics. Examples would include books about gardens, books about math, books about African American history, etc. Many of these lists are also sub-divided by age or grade to make them easier to use.
Many libraries and associations also publish annual best-of lists; these lists are a really easy way to keep current on the newest and best children's books!
Book reviews are a great way to find out more about the latest releases in children's and young adult books. As a bonus, these reviews also tend to be very short (usually 1-2 paragraphs) and focused on how books would be used in a classroom or library.
