How do I find a book on a specific topic?
1. Find the link to NoveList K-8 (link is in this guide and the Databases A-Z page on the library homepage).
2. Use the main search box to type a subject (dogs, poetry, etc.)
3. Click on the record for a book to learn more about it. If you'd like to see if we have it in Search at UW, click on "Search at University of Wisconsin" to check Search at UW for the book. Remember, if you sign in to Search at UW (your usual Falcon ID-there is no separate library account), you can request books from other UW campuses for free!

3. On the left side of the page, there is a box labeled "grade level." Click on the grade you want. Hold down the shift key and click again if you want more than one grade. Then go up to the main search box at the top of the page and search as usual.

2. Look at the New Book shelf in the library! It's downstairs by the blue chairs right when you walk in. All the newest books are there for a few months before they go to their permanent home in the CMC upstairs.
